Intemp 250 (Generally to BS G210) Cable
The Intemp 250 cable is a high-performance cable used principally within the Automation and Process Control industry.
Intemp 250 Cable Specification
The Intemp 250 cable is designed to operate under arduous conditions, providing resistance to extremes of temperature offering continuous conductor operation up to +250°C when fixed. This single core nickel-plated Copper wire is insulated with PFA with a layer of Mica Glass tape overlaid. The Mica tape offers a flame and fire barrier.
The outer sheathing on the Intemp 250 is a glass fibre braid with a heat resistant varnish. The braid and varnish provide moisture-resistance, toughness and flexibility. The outer sheath has a natural colour - an off-white. Cable sizes are from 1mm2 to 16mm2 as standard.
The cable is manufactured generally to BS G210 which is the manufacturing standard for PTFE cable - Polytetrafluoroethylene - a thermoplastic polymer with a high melting point.
