N2XH-J & N2XH-O Cables - N2XH Cable Class 2 / N2XH Flex

The N2XH cable range are European power cables for low voltage fixed wiring, increasingly preferred by electrical contractors for distributing mains power around industrial buildings across EMEA.

With copper conductors and XLPE insulation, their low smoke zero halogen, flame-retardant non-corrosive (FRNC) outersheath makes them suitable for use where smoke and corrosive gases would pose a risk to human life and sensitive equipment in the event of a fire.

N2XH Cable Manufacturer Specification

The N2XH cable manufacturing is against specifications engineered by the The Cable Lab to offer 'enhanced' properties compared to standard N2XH cables, including easy-strip designs and additional environmental / climatic properties. 

These cables are suitable for use in cable trays, fixed to in walls or in cable ducts. The N2XH cable is not suitable for direct burial without external protection against mechanical stress. 

N2XH Cable Sizes and Cable Voltage

The N2XH cable has a voltage rating of 600/1000V / 0.6/1kV. Both the N2XH Enhanced (otherwise known as an N2XH Class 2 cable) and N2XH Enhanced Flex (N2XH Class 5 cable) are available in single core and multicores, in core cross-sectional area sizes up to 300mm².

Depending on the number of cores and core sizing, conductors are either circular or sectoral stranded - in the case of the smaller core sizes on the N2XH Enhanced cable it may also be a Class 1 solid conductor.

N2XH cables are available with Green/Yellow protective conductor (N2XH-J) and without (N2XH-O).

N2XH Class 5 Cable - Enhanced Flex Applications

The N2XH Enhanced Flex Class 5 conductor version is becoming the cable of choice in key applications where additional flexibility is required for installation designs. They are easy to strip and prepare for termination which saves time and labour onsite. Increasingly they are used in installations such as Data Centres and Life Sciences builds.
