NA2XCY Cable
The NA2XCY cable is an aluminium 1kV power cable manufactured in accordance with IEC 60502-1. The aluminium equivalent of N2XCY, this cable has rigid stranding (Class 2) conductors.
NA2XCY Cable Specification
The NA2XCY cable is suitable for fixed wiring, externally and internally including in cable ducts. It is commonly specified in European power distribution applications, including transformer stations and industrial plants where a more lightweight cable is more suited to the design but where the installation has no space constraints.
The PVC sheathing offers a UV resistant, flame retardant barrier, whilst the XLPE insulation means a +90oC maximum operating temperature. Between them is a Concentric conductor - Copper wires and equalising tape screen - that provides protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC). Where a PVC sheathed cable is perhaps not suitable, there are LSZH alternatives - NA2XCH and N2XCH.
