NAYCWY Cable

The NAYCWY cable is is a low voltage PVC sheathed power distribution cable with concentric screen of copper wires and tape. This 0.6/1kV cable, available in multi core variants, is available with both full size and reduced size concentric conductor. It is available in circular and sectorial shaped conductors depending on size and configuration.

NAYCWY Cable Specification

The NAYCWY cable is commonly specified for use in power stations, industrial installations and switchgears, as well as in local mains. It is  the aluminium conductor version of the NYCWY cable. Manufactured for fixed installation power applications both indoor and outdoor, including direct burial where allowed by the relevant building regulations, it is suitable where increased shock hazard protection is required within the network. The concentric conductor can be used as PE or PEN conductor, mitigating risk in the event of mechanical damage to the installed cable. It is UV resistant so can be laid externally without the need for additional protection. The NAYCWY can also be used as a control cable for transmitting impulses, signals and data.

Offering a wide temperature range with a low of -35^oC, the NAYCWY is limited at the upper range to +70^oC by the PVC insulation.
