A heavy duty flexible rubber power cable made generally to VDE0250 part 812 and with tinned copper braid screen, the (N)SSCHÖU cable is commonly used to connect mining, drilling and tunnelling equipment. It's tough rubber outersheath offers flame retardance and protection from mechanical stresses as well as UV radiation, oils and greases, abrasions and tears as found within the mining industry.
Suitable for installation in dry, damp, wet and in hazardous environments as well as can be permanently submersed in fresh water, salt water, storm water, oily water and sewage-contaminated water, to a depth of 100 metres. The (N)SSCHÖU cable has an operating temperature range of -40oC to +80oC when fixed and -25oC to +80oC when flexed.
