(N)TSCGEWÖU Cables

The medium voltage (N)TSCGEWÖU flexible mining, drilling and tunnelling cables is for monospiral drum and trailing operations for use in surface or underground installations. It is suited to installations under both environmental and mechanical stresses generally associated with the mining industry.

(N)TSCGEWÖU ATB higher flexibility	Flexible cable for energy supply to heavy mobile equipment such as drag lines, shovels, dredges, drills, under extreme mechanical stresses and abrasions during trailing operations in opencast mines

(N)TSCGEWÖU Cable Voltages

These cables are used for power distribution to heavy-duty equipment and so are available in voltages of 3.6/6kV, 6/10kV, 8.7/15kV and 12/20kV. Maximum torsional stress and working speeds will differ according to cable type but not voltage. Cables are configurated as 3+3 - 3 power cores and 3 earth cores. 

(N)TSCGEWÖU Cable Variations

Depending on the individual application, the (N)TSCGEWÖU cable is available with an anti-torsion braid, a fibre optic core, and with sheathing that allows for permanent submersion in water or halogen free for use underground or in tunnels. 

The fibre optic cable - (N)TSCGEWOU FO – is available with data transmission speeds of 50/125 or 62.5/125 multimode and 9/125 single-mode. There is a rubber compound over this twisted core. The submersible cable has an inner sheath of Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) and is sheathed in a Chlorinated Polyethylene Rubber (CM) making it suitable for depths of up to 300m. The ZH Halogen free (N)TSCGEWOU cable has a Polyurethane inner and outer sheathing material that doesn’t emit toxic gases in the event of fire. The outer sheathing colour of the variants may differ from the red sheath of the standard (N)TSCGEWOU cable.

Additionally, there is a reduced dimension festoon reeling cable with integrated fibre optics  - R-(N)TSCGEWÖU FO - should this be applicable to the installation.
