Our trackside fibre communications cables are for use in high-traffic and high data-rate requirements and Fixed Telecoms Network (FTN) applications, running alongside the rail track. These Network Rail approved trackside fibre cables are manufactured in accordance with standard NR/PS/TEL/00014.
NR/PS/TEL/00014 cable specification
NR/PS/TEL/00014 cables can variously be used outdoors, underground. This range is available with or without the additional armoured protection of a corrugated steel/ polymer laminated tape. The armoured cables provide protection from rodents as well as against the environmental and mechanical stresses they are required to withstand. They are also suitable for direct burial.
