RVMV-K and RVMAV-K Cables

The RVMV-K and RVMAV-K Cables are an armoured version of the flexible RV-K cable.

RVMV-K and RVMAV-K Cable Specification

Designed for low voltage 1kV power distribution, RVMV-K and RVMAV-K cables are designed for fixed installations, commonly specified for intrinsically safe environments, with applications across industries including petrochemical and power plants. 

The Class 5 copper conductors are flexible, allowing for easy termination in restricted spaces. The RVMV-K and RVMAV-K cables are unusual in the combination of flexible conductors with wire armour. The armour allows for direct burial in the ground without additional mechanical protection. Single core cables are referenced as RVMAV-K - the 'A' designating the aluminium wires as opposed to the RVMV-K steel wire multicore versions. 

 The PVC outer sheathing provides a flame retardant barrier against environmental conditions, whilst the XLPE insulation permits an upper conductor operating temperature of +90oC. The RVMV-K cable is supplied with green/yellow cores as standard.

These cables are CPR-compliant for fixed internal installation.

RVMV-K and RVMAV-K Cable Sizes and Datasheets

The RVMV-K multicore cables are available with optional Green/Yellow core identification. Multicore cables run from 1.5mm² up to 240mm² depending on core configuration. The single core RVAMV-K cable is sized from 10mm² to 300mm². Should other sizes or configurations be required, this can be provided on request.
