XHIRV, XHI1RV, LXHIRV & LXHI1RV Cables

The XHIRV & LXHIRV cables are Portuguese named Armoured Copper and Aluminium conductor medium voltage cables manufactured in accordance with IEC 60502-2 and HD620. Being armoured, the Portuguese designation changes according to the construction. 

XHIRV, LXHIRV, XHI1RV and LXHI1RV cable voltages

Thi range of cables are provided in voltages starting at 3.6/6kV and rising through 6/10kV, 8.7/15kV, and 12/20kV up to 18/30kV as standard. The cable sizes for each voltage are provided in the attached technical datasheets.

XHRIV, LXHIRV, XHI1RV and LXHI1RV armoured cable construction

XHIRV cables are Copper SWA (steel wire armour) 3 core variants, with XHI1RV being the single core AWA Aluminium wire cable sizes. Similarly, LXHIRV and LXHI1RV are Aluminium conductor equivalents with the same armouring depending on single or multicore configurations.  The steel and aluminium wire armouring provides excellent mechanical protection, allowing installations environments including direct burial.

All cables also have a copper wire screen. The PVC sheathing offers a flame retardant outer layer, making it more suited to installations terminating internally than the XHIRE / LXHIRE PE sheathed cables.
