Five star Occupational Health & Safety audit from the British Safety Council
In addition to recent prestigious quality certifications, including UKAS accreditation to ISO 17025 and the BSI RoHS Trusted Kitemark® for its cables testing lab, Eland Cables has attained five star status following a thorough British Safety Council audit.
Philip Brown, CEO of Eland Cables, said: “Our reputation has been built through an unswerving focus on quality, technical expertise and customer service. Alongside this commitment to our customers, we recognise and embrace our responsibility to our own people. I am very proud that our instigation of safe working practices, the provision of a safe environment and a commitment to our employees’ wellbeing has been recognised by Eland achieving five-star status through the British Safety Council’s audit process.”
The British Safety Council’s Five Star Occupational Health and Safety accreditation is its highest available level and is internationally recognised. The audit process involves an in-depth examination of an organisation’s entire health and safety management performance against best practice. It focuses on key aspects of a company’s approach to managing occupational health and safety in the workplace. It examines the company’s leadership, organisation and structure, strategy, planning, implementation and review of health and safety management, while offering advice on how the company can continually improve.
David Parr, Head of Technical Services for the British Safety Council, said: “The achievement of a five star outcome following the audit of Eland Cables should not be underestimated. The audit process is a robust examination of the entire safety management system and promotes excellence in workplace safety management.
