NF M 87 202 Cable

NF M87-202 is the French Standard (Norme Française) covering both armoured and unarmoured instrumentation cables, connecting electrical circuits and providing communication services in process plants for the petroleum and petrochemical industry. 

NF M87-202 Cable Specification 

These cables are designed for safe extra-low voltage, for the transmission of AC or DC analogue signals. They are suitable for aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon resistance applications. They have a voltage rating of 300/500V.

With both armoured and unarmoured variants, these cables are in cores, pairs and multi-pair configurations. The armoured versions, with double steel tape to provide mechanical protection, can be buried directly. PVC insulated and with a special PVC sheathing, these cables are flame retardant, and resistant to UV, mineral oil and hydrocarbons.

All NF M87-202 Cables are screened to provide signal integrity, with Al/PET tapes collectively applied and, in the case of EISF and EIFA type cables, also individually applied. 

An armoured version with double steel tape Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) is also available on request.
